In week 37 of 2020, 19 large companies, including MNP / Suntory from the floriculture sector decided not to participate in the IPM Essen 2021. The following statement was signed in consultation with each other:
“Given the recent developments around COVID-19, the ongoing risk to our customers and employees and the responsibility we see to prevent the spread of the virus, we have decided not to participate in IPM 2021.”
Bases on the latest knowledge of COVID-19 and the ever-changing strict international regulations and restrictions, MNP / Suntory agrees that they do not want their customers and employees not to be exposed to the increased risks that participation automatically entails.
So far, the floriculture industry has survived this pandemic relatively unscathed. This is partly achieved through various collaborations within the industry. In addition, it is very important for MNP / Suntory to contribute to the eradication of the virus instead of participating in international fairs.
It was a difficult but necessary decision for us. We look forward to participating in the IPM again in 2022.
